Ages Eligible for 2027 :

SHORT TRACK: (5 Male & 5 Female Athletes) – week 1 of CWG

  • Competitors who have reached the age of 14 on June 30th, 2026, but have not reached the age of 20 as of June 30th, 2026.
  • Year of Birth: July 1, 2006, to June 30, 2012, inclusive.

LONG TRACK: (4 Male & 4 Female athletes – week 2 of CWG

Competitors who have reached the age of 14 on June 30th, 2026, but have not reached the age of 21 as of June 30th, 2026.

Year of Birth: July 1, 2005, to June 30, 2012, inclusive.

**NOTE – For 2027 SSNB athletes can vye for position on both Long Track and Short Track team

The Canada Winter Games’ first installment was in 1967 in Quebec City. After 60 years , the games will return to the host city.

New Brunswick Speed Skaters have a reach history at the Canada Winter Games. New Brunswick skaters have medaled at every games since 1983 for a total of eleven straight games.
